HasseRovdjur says... Both anime are misogynistic to a varying degree -BroCon is milder in this aspect while Diabolik Lovers is blatantly misogynistic- about a young woman being forced to co-habitate with a gang of different guys all vying for her attention. Both are nominally romances of the reverse harem variety, if you count guys sexually assaulting a female as romance. Diabolik Lovers has the supernatural theme going while Brothers Conflict has a more realistic feel if you get past the talking squirrel..., and the guys in Diabolik Lovers are more repulsive than the cast in BroCon0. Those are the biggest differences, really. Fans of either show would do well to watch the other one, and if you hated one with all your heart and want some more brainrot to enrage you, why, it's just more of the same. Brad says... Reverse harems are the order of the day here. One is your classic reverse harem where all the guys inexplicably fall in love with the main girl a few seconds after meeting her, the other has the guys sexually and verbally abusing the leading lady at any and every given opportunity. Both are pretty misogynistic, with BroCon being milder than the vile Diabolik Lovers. Each show is literally teeming with pathetic, abusive, arrogant, creepy and downright irritating sexual predators whos morals seem to be almost completely absent. Almost absent in the case of BroCon, but totally absent in the case of Diabolik Lovers, where sexual and verbal abuse is thrown around like confetti. Plot wise, they share a few striking similarities. The main girl in each show is sent to live in a huge house with a bunch of strange boys she's never met. Each boy then falls in love with her in some shape or form. Classic shoujo reverse harem stuff really. Except that Diabolik Lovers has the supernatural aspect with it's vampires, and more sadistic with the rampant abuse it loves to focus on. BroCon, on the other hand, is more grounded in reality. So if you like your reverse harems, and douchebag males then you'll likely find both entertaining. Likewise if you’re a fan of one you’ll probably enjoy the other. And if you’re the type who enjoys raging over terrible anime, then you’ll have a lot of fun here. audinobutt says... Yes right now this is another show that is similar. Both have one main character that is female. The men have "dere" personalities in both shows and both are equally provocative. Both anime are based off Otome games. iOtaku13 says... Both are Otome games from Otomate. Its got the girl whos from another family and moves in. some characters are quite similar too, Krizz says... What everyone here says is true, but if you need more proof One of the characters names is Subaru and the female lead is adopted. Brothers Conflict is much more pleasing to watch because of its more Slice of Life feel and overall less molestation. Lynn7898 says... The heroine of both anime is exactly what one would expect of an anime of its caliber. As is common in the anime adaptions of otome games, the heroine is submissive, fairly quiet and a bit of a pushover in her own right. They're both suddenly thrust into worlds quite different from what they're accustomed tofull of men, might I add. BroCon has waaayyy more love interests than DV, the latter of which is way more suggestive. You'll either love them or hate them, really. Amineko says... In both series there are brothers and Heroine is really stupid. They actions don't make sense. But there is a lot of sexual assault. If you ignore the plot and only watch for bishes OR you love to laugh of dumb situations like me WATCH THIS. bunnylovesanime says... It is very similar because both deal with a set of brothers fighting over the same girl. In the case of Brothers Conflict it is their step sister and in Diabolik Lovers it is a bride to be. Both stories feature bishii characters to showcase each type of guy, and in both stories the heroine is powerless against their advances. Thrawn says... This is completely bonkers because what kind of sick show could be similiar to Diabolik Douches? A show that has just about every character in an Otome game or harem that fits any staple short of the putrid depths of douchery that Diabolik Douchesacks delves into. That show, is Brothers Conflict, now refered to as BroCon. Each series has a group of guys who may or may not be pining for the main heroine, and while totally irrelevant is flat-chested. Because they're obviously harems and based on harem games Probably for Brocon but disturbingly enough yes for Diabolik Doucheturds, they all wind up falling for the girl and show their love in different ways. Very. Different ways. Very. Seriously very different. The point I'm getting at is that the concept is similiar, where each show caters to a crapload of generic harem staples. The girl also moves into the overly large house through whatever means, has to get into relatively painful Excessively painful for you and her in Diabolik Douchebags and as a whole, it's painful for the viewer because both shows lick goats. They are terrible for characters, terrible for whatever craptacular plot they have, boring engagements Encounters is a better term between girl and whatever guy Again, horrifying and mortifying for Diabolik Douchenozzles and chances are unless you like good looking guys Let alone morals, you wouldn't remember their names. While they are on opposite sides of the moral scale and one is completely and utterly repulsive and the other is supposed to be sweet but is actually boring, they share the same reverse-harem staples and are, once again, crappy watches. Wolfine152 says... both brothers conflict and diabolik lovers have many of the same voice actors, chi and yui also share multiple similarities in their personality. once you watch the two shows you begin to wonder whether diabolik lovers is simply season 2 of brothers conflict except "vampirised" vivienluvrm says... both anime includes a girl staying into a place where there are all boys. the boys in both anime had also liked or fallen in love with the girl. both are very similar, if you liked diabolik lovers, you would sure like brothers conflict! and thus vice versa. tennis101101 says... If you liked either one of these animes you should like the other one becasue they almost have the same plot line. Also the main girl characters are once agian stuck between alot of guys they have to chose between. Meekish says... A girl with zero personality moves into a house with a bunch of strange men who will objectify her and basically rape her while she stares on, emotionless. Basically, Brothers Conflict is Diabolik lovers without the vampires. roxanne410 says... I actually really think of DL as a crossover of a horror movie and Brocon. Not only are Ema, Wataru, Ukyo and Azusa's Voice actors in it, but also the story is similar - A girl goes to a house with severa brothers she has never met -she's very docile -There's a little romance. Both characters are very similar, as is the art style used. DL is a little bit darker and has a more defined story as brocon is light hearted and has characters you can't help but adore. Both use a serious tone while Brocon slips in humor very cleverly. DL is a bit more serious with less male characters, but honestly- both are of the best series I have watched in the shojou genre. Highly reccomend both ways! Brightstone says... Both have a girl who goes into a house and has a lot of guys after her. The diffrence is that Diabolik Lovers has vampires and are only after her for the blood but slowly start to like her more, and Brothers Conflict has it where their all siblings and the girl moves in with 13 guys, but the guys still slowly relise their feelings for their step-sister. Both are really simaler. Ryochi says... main characters are just alike! They dont even try resist kisses and hugs from boys! Lame harem say i! TallyCrow says... Although one is about Vampires and other not about Vampires, they both have similar things about them. They are both Reverse Harem, meaning 1 girl and many boys. In both Anime the guys want the girl’s attention and will do anything to be the one "She chooses". Also at first the girl in both animes are a tad uncomfortable and confused with how to react with their new living arrangements. bobmilkshake says... I watched both of these shows based on recommendation and I agree that these shows are worth watching especially of you have already seen one and liked it. Both circle around a central girl one for food reasons and the other because of love. Both main characters kinda of have the same weakness near the men. Chii Brothers Conflict lets all the men confess and kiss her multiple times without doing anything and Yui Diabolik Lovers lets the vampires feed on her without much effort to stop them, but both have very different plotlines which makes it enjoyable to watch both. I highly recommend both. delmar2708 says... All I can say or at least want to say is that they are both reverse-harems. However, the length of the episodes are vastly different. CrystalSama says... Brothers Conflict and Diabolik Lovers both involve a girl who has moved in with a house full of boys becuase of thier Fathers, which have both adopted the girls. The boys and the girl are not under adult supervision in both animes and the boys don't always get along when it comes to the girl. This makes these two animes so special and I hope others agree with me. hamletsmage says... Both of these reverse harem animes deal with a young woman suddently lodging with a group of young men, specifically brothers. Both involve the MC suddenly being accosted by her male counterparts, though Brothers Conflict is less sadistic about it. If sparks flying between brothers over a young woman is interesting to you, check out both of these animes. derkaczchiks says... They are both reverse harem type with a lot of beautyfull guys. In both, the main caracter is a shy girl and have to face different situations with each guy. Each guy also have very different personality. hannahfaith says... AlexandraLux says... They are both reverse-harems. Although Diabolik Lovers is more dark, they both share a similar vibe. Each boy is almost desperately trying to get the girl. The settings are also different but I think they are both worth watching. mickeyx0x0 says... You could call both highly regarded in the reverse harem genre. In both harems there are a lot of love rivals, more than 6 in each I am pretty sure. Although they are very different in theory and genres, most reverse H enthusiasts seem to enjoy both. LangForest says... Both shows have that reverse harem theme and sweet, female main character. Interesting plot and just all around a good show Closedbookeyes says... I think they can relate because they both are fighting over one girl and each get their turns picking at her. I don't know about Diabolik Lovers on this, but they all fall in love with one girl, but in Diabolik lovers, they all want, or sometimes need the girls blood. The girls both go through tough opsticals trying to avoid, or going through something that has something to do with the boys. Another thing is that their all brothers and, like i said, are after one girl. Sometimes they realize that they are in the wrong but don't care. klokoloko5 says... Basic summary of both without spoilers girl moves in with a bunch of guys that all have feelings for her. I watched diabolik lovers first and fell in love with some of the characters, then I found brothers conflict and the exact same thing happened. Both series are easy to watch and can be enjoyable depending on the person LoveHurts4Me says... It your into reverse harem were all the guys are related and force themselves on the girl that then both are for you. Brothers Conflict is more romantic where in Diabolik Lovers they are all vampires and just want her blood. btkitty says... if you liked the reverse haram element of Diabolik lovers then you will most likely enjoy brothers conflict although if you enjoyed they story line or fantasy element then brothers conflict most likely won't be for you.

Are you looking to start watching Diabolik Lovers but want to know a little information about the characters beforehand? Look no further! This article will get you familiar with the not-always-friendly faces of Diabolik Lovers. Yui Komori Yui is the main character of the series. She used to live with her father, a priest who owned his own church, until he had to move elsewhere for work. Yui was forced to live in a mansion that, at first, seemed very empty. It wasn't until she was scared out of her wits that she found out that she'd be living with six vampire brothers. In the beginning, she was a bit astounded about them being vampires, but all in all, she had to cope with it. Even though she was mistreated by them, she always managed to respond to them kindly, in an attempt to understand them better. It is revealed in the first episode of the anime that she was adopted, and she begins to investigate her past to see what her "father" had been hiding from her. While staying at the mansion, she occasionally gets unbearable chest pains, and later finds out it's because her heart originally belonged to Cordelia, the mother of the triplets Ayato, Kanato, and Laito. Yui is a kind-hearted young woman who only wants to make peace, not war. Ayato Sakamaki He is the fifth son of all of the Sakamaki brothers and is the youngest out of the triplets. As a young boy, he was always forced to try and be the best. His mother never showed her affection towards him, and she always beat him and abused him to the point where she attempted to drown him. Ayato grew up always aiming to be number one and became overconfident and self-centered. Since he doesn't know how to love, he acts cold and malicious towards Yui when she first arrives. He was the first vampire to drink her blood. Kanato Sakamaki He is the second oldest of the triplets and is the fourth son of the Sakamaki brothers. As a child, his mother paid very little attention to him, and because of this, he played alone and talked to his dolls. His most precious toy of all is his stuffed teddy, which he carries around with him everywhere. There were times when his mother would come to him and request for him to sing to her, since he had such a beautiful singing voice. When Kanato doesn't get what he wants, he either cries or gets violently angry. He acts very polite, but is very sadistic and displays violent outbursts, mainly aimed towards Yui. Laito Sakamaki He is the third son of the Sakamaki brothers and is the oldest of the triplets. When he was younger, he was sexually abused by his mother and began seeing her more as a lover than a parent. When their strange relationship was found out, Laito was locked in the basement. It wasn't until later that his mother came down to him and told him that she was having sexual relations with other men and had only been using him. Because of this, Laito grew up not knowing what love was. He is always cheerful and jokes around a lot, but also has a perverted side. Shū Sakamaki He is the oldest son of the Sakamaki brothers and is the current master of the household. He is the first son of Beatrix. Growing up, Shu was given unwanted attention from his mother. He is one of the brothers that seemed to know about Yui's past, and was contacted by "that person" and informed to have her stay with them as a guest. Despite him being the oldest of all the brothers, he doesn't like being responsible for looking after his siblings and the household. Reiji Sakamaki He is the second son of the Sakamaki brothers and the second son of Beatrix. Even though Shu is his only full blood brother, he dislikes him for being his mother's favorite. He values rules and demands others to follow them, even though most of them are self-made. Reiji chose to be the role model of the mansion even though he is the second son. Despite him having a polite attitude, he is a man of very harsh words. He enjoys experimenting and making drugged potions as well. Subaru Sakamaki He is the last and youngest son of the Sakamaki brothers and is the only son of Christa. He is usually alone and hardly ever cares about what's going on around him. Although, he does get angry very easily and usually resorts to violence, breaking everything surrounding him. He manages to control himself when he's around Yui, but usually continues with outbursts. He is seen as a delinquent kind of guy. There you have it. Have you fallen for any of the characters yet? Don't be too quick to judge! You'll have to watch Diabolik Lovers to find out more about these amazing characters.
